Editing & Coaching
I currently work with different writers across the United States in different genres, nearly all with the aim of publication. While I pay close attention to prose style, I am not a copy editor or proof reader. Rather my focus is on the more substantive craft and conceptual elements, such as characterization, conflict, scene-building, plot, pacing, and structure needed to make stories connect with readers, including agents and publishers.
Services are tailored to meet the individual writer and project needs, and span from one-time reads and critique to on-going coaching sessions and feedback throughout the revision process. Given the range of services, costs vary but are billed at competitive industry rates.
